Batenburg Techniek was founded out of a passion for technology, innovation, and the ambition to contribute to a sustainable and safe living and working environment. For decades, the companies within the Batenburg group have played a significant role in technological progress and sustainability in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The foundation of the company was laid in the early 20th century by Piet Batenburg. He had the ambition to support businesses with the cutting-edge technology of his time. Inspired by technology and innovation, he recognized opportunities for his clients. This drive remains the common thread in our history:

applying technology intelligently to create new possibilities, both now and in the future.

Over the years, the organization has grown into a reliable and innovative partner across all sectors of society. By leveraging technologies for automation, digitization, and electrification in innovative ways, we actively contribute to optimizing countless visible and invisible processes. This has made Batenburg Techniek not only a prominent player in the field but also a solid employer where more than 1,300 employees work daily to achieve our shared mission.

In recent decades, Batenburg Techniek has further expanded its expertise. Through various acquisitions and mergers, specialized divisions with subsidiary companies were formed. This strategy was driven by the desire to provide even better support to our customers. In 2022, for example, Batenburg Applied Technologies was established through the merger of Batenburg Mechatronica and Batenburg Adelco Electronics, both companies with a rich history within and outside the Batenburg group.

Although Batenburg Applied Technologies is the youngest Batenburg company, it plays a crucial role within the group today. The company provides innovative solutions that form the basis for the next steps in technological and industrial progress.
