Batenburg Applied Technologies and Trasna sign distribution agreement
During the Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg, Batenburg Applied Technologies and Trasna signed a distribution agreement for the Benelux. This collaboration follows Trasna’s acquisition of the cellular portfolio from u‑blox in 2025. Thanks to this agreement, Batenburg can continue offering its existing range of cellular modules without interruption, supplemented by Trasna’s solutions, device management, support, and R&D services.
“With this collaboration, we not only safeguard the continuity of the trusted cellular portfolio for our customers, but we also expand our capabilities with Trasna’s innovative services.”
Continuation of a strong collaboration in (I)IoT
Batenburg Applied Technologies has been working closely with u‑blox for many years, providing distribution and design‑in support for their IoT modules in the Benelux. After u‑blox announced in 2025 that it would focus on positioning and short‑range modules, Trasna acquired the cellular division, including staff and various IP rights.
Through the agreement with Trasna, Batenburg can continue to support all ongoing and future projects involving u‑blox cellular technology without interruption. Engineers can keep applying the trusted modules in their designs with full confidence. The u‑blox portfolio for positioning and short‑range modules also remains fully available — and actively supported — through Batenburg.
