Batenburg Applied Technologies and Trasna sign distribution agreement

During the Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg, Batenburg Applied Technologies and Trasna signed a distribution agreement for the Benelux. This collaboration follows Trasna’s acquisition of the cellular portfolio from u‑blox in 2025. Thanks to this agreement, Batenburg can continue offering its existing range of cellular modules without interruption, supplemented by Trasna’s solutions, device management, support, and R&D services.

“With this collaboration, we not only safeguard the continuity of the trusted cellular portfolio for our customers, but we also expand our capabilities with Trasna’s innovative services.”

Expanded and future‑oriented portfolio

In addition to the familiar modules and u‑blox technology, with their well‑known naming conventions and cross‑generation compatibility, Trasna adds its own services to the portfolio, such as eSIM, iSIM/SoC, SDKs, and device management. This ensures a natural continuation of the cellular ecosystem, combined with an expanded set of technological possibilities for the future.

Partner for automation hardware

With the representation of Trasna, Batenburg Applied Technologies strengthens its position as a design‑in and co‑creation partner for the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on (I)IoT and edge‑computing solutions. This step reinforces Batenburg’s role as a partner for high‑quality and future‑proof automation hardware.

In addition, Batenburg collaborates with leading technology suppliers in the fields of Displays, Embedded, and Thermal Management, and can deliver both prototypes and series production in‑house. As a result, customers benefit from a single partner that supports their entire development process, from concept to realization.
