Situation update about the Variscite facilities in response to recent inquiries and expressed concerns

Batenburg Applied Technologies B.V. – Variscite Ltd.

13th of October 2023

Rotterdam - Batenburg Applied Technologies B.V., a leading provider of SOM modules, wishes to update our valued customers and partners on the current situation at the Variscite facilities.

In response to recent inquiries and expressed concerns, we would like to reiterate that Variscite’s production facilities remain fully operational, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of our high-quality products. We understand the importance of our commitment to our customers and we assure you that there have been no interruptions in their production capabilities.

As back-up scenario they also have established a partnership in the DACH region, allowing Variscite to utilize their production plants if necessary. Furthermore, we offer the option of an Escrow agreement to our customers, providing a fail-safe solution. This agreement ensures that in the event of unforeseen circumstances, our customers will have access to all necessary production files and can continue manufacturing our products independently. Of course for an Escrow agreement costs are involved and Batenburg can help you with the right set-up.

Also for freight we normally use air transport to get our orders from Variscite. At this moment we see no major delays, there is only a reduced frequency of flights, but there are still flights taking place every couple of days.

We understand the importance of keeping an open communication with our customers and partners during these times, and we like to offer you reassurance. If any of our valued customers wish to discuss these matters further, we are more than willing to arrange a conference call to address any questions of concern directly.
